All electric cooperatives in Virginia, effective immediately, and continuing until further notice, have announced that we are waiving disconnects for non-payment and late payment penalty fees for our residential members. We continue to work with our small business and commercial members on a case-by-case basis to mitigate the impact of the pandemic virus.
Beginning Thursday, March 19, Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) encourages members to take advantage of their drive-up windows in Staunton and Winchester, as well as other remote payment options including kiosks and drop boxes at all office locations for members’ convenience.
The cooperative asks that members consider using electronic methods for account access at this time. There are multiple ways for members to choose for making payments, including the MySVEC mobile app, SVEC’s online account and payment system (www.svec-online.coop) or phone (1-800-234-7832).
