Dr. Orndorff was appointed by the Board of Supervisors in November 2025 to fill an unexpired term. His current term will end in November 2026 following a special election.

Dr. Orndorff enjoyed a long, successful career in public education serving as, among other positions, Assistant Superintendent for Administration, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, and Coordinator of Vocational Education for Frederick County Public Schools. He holds a Doctor of Education – Administrative Leadership from Shenandoah University; Master of Arts in Education Administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University; and Bachelor of Science in Education – Technology Education / Mechanical Drafting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. Dr. Orndorff serves on several local boards and holds membership in professional organizations.
