Frederick County Public Safety Communications is hosting two days devoted to those interested in a career in public safety communications.
LeeAnna Pyles, Director of Public Safety Communications said “staff wanted to do this and worked out all the details. We felt there were no better people than our staff to meet those interested in becoming a dispatcher. Staff can best speak to what the job takes. They are the subject matter experts.”
There will be two Career Fair Days held at the Public Safety Building at 1080 Coverstone Drive, the first on Tuesday, October 29 and the second on Saturday, November 16. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and there will be no entries after 9 a.m. for this progressive interview process. Those planning to attend should complete an application online at www.fcva.us/jobs and bring with them a valid driver’s license and picture ID. Requirements for these positions include:
• Valid Driver’s License; please bring your picture ID
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Able to pass background check, hearing & drug screening
• Current resume
• Flexibility to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
